What we collect

When you check in with a t0kn coin, we collect your name (or a name you choose), your location at the time of check-in, and optionally a message. If you sign in, we store your email address. We also collect the time and date of each check-in.

Why we collect it

Location data is used to plot the coin's journey on the map and calculate distance travelled. Your email is used only to identify you across sessions — we don't send marketing emails. We don't sell your data to anyone, ever.

Who can see it

Your check-in location and message are visible to anyone who views the coin's page. Your email address is never shown publicly. If you check in anonymously, your name is shown as "a keeper".

How long we keep it

Check-in data is kept for as long as the coin is active. If you'd like your data removed, email us and we'll sort it within 7 days.

Cookies

We use a small amount of local storage to remember that you're signed in. We don't use advertising cookies or third-party trackers.

Third parties

Maps are powered by OpenStreetMap via Leaflet and CartoDB tiles. Location search uses a geocoding service. Neither has access to your email or personal details.
